Hi, I’m Karen

If you flip open my kindergarten yearbook, you’ll find “Art Teacher” proudly listed under what I wanted to be when I grew up.

I began college with a focus on art history and business, but unexpectedly found a love for accounting. That path led me to earn both bachelors and master’s degrees in accounting and become a licensed CPA. After 8 years in Corporate and Nonprofit Finance, I stepped away to stay home with my three wonderful children.

Over the years, I’ve had the joy of working with children in various volunteer roles, and of course, as a mom. These roles have deepened my passion for nurturing creativity and confidence in young hearts.

Founding Hearth & Hue Studio is a dream long in the making, and now I get to bring together both my creative spirit and analytical business mind in a space that feels truly like home. I believe everyone is an artist at heart, and I’m so excited to help the community explore, create, and grow in this space.
